AEON Pay has introduced its Scan-to-Pay feature in Brazil, enabling users to spend cryptocurrencies at millions of merchants through the country's ubiquitous PIX payment system. The Web3 mobile solution converts crypto to Brazilian Real (BRL) at checkout, mirroring the simplicity of local transactions.

PIX, adopted by 76% of Brazilians, processed over 68 billion transactions in 2024. AEON's integration bridges this dominant payment rail with digital assets, potentially accelerating crypto adoption in Latin America's largest economy. The announcement was made via AEON's official X account on September 3, 2025.
